Changelog

Every release listed in full: new features, improvements, fixes and security updates.

3.2.1Current

  • NewSource Library: browse official news feeds by continent and country on the Monitoring Sources screen, and add up to 25 at a time.
  • NewMention pages now live at /mentions/ by default, and you can choose the word under Settings > General. Old links redirect.
  • NewA source that fails three checks in a row shows a “Failing” badge, with the reason when you point at it.
  • NewRSS 1.0 feeds are read, and an address that is not an RSS or Atom feed is refused when you add it.
  • NewA suggested privacy policy text is added under Settings > Privacy.
  • ChangeA source that refuses requests is paused for 30 minutes, doubling up to 6 hours, rather than asked again at every check.
  • ChangeA source address that differs from an existing one only by http or https, “www.” or a final slash is treated as the same source.
  • ChangeA quote you write by hand shows on the Wall of Love only, not in the news layouts.
  • ChangeOn right-to-left sites, such as Arabic ones, the admin screens use a mirrored stylesheet.
  • FixThe same article is no longer imported twice when its link differs only by tracking parameters.
  • FixDeleting a source together with thousands of mentions no longer hits the server’s time limit.
  • FixOn block themes, a mention’s own page shows the site’s header, menu and footer.
  • SecurityText from feeds never runs a shortcode or block.

3.2.0Earlier

  • ChangePaid features now live entirely in the separate inMedia Reputation Pro add-on. This plugin contains no locked or trial code. Existing mentions, testimonials, permissions, map settings and shortcodes keep working.
  • FixRemoved a broken Elementor integration that caused a fatal error on sites running Elementor. Use the shortcode or the inMedia Mentions block there instead.
  • FixOn pages showing mentions, the plugin stylesheet no longer affects the rest of your site. Its styles now apply only inside the plugin’s own output.
  • SecurityLinks pasted into Add Mention are stored only when they are http or https URLs, and admin request input is sanitised before use.
  • SecuritySource names, mention titles read from oEmbed data, and site names read from pasted links are all cleaned before they are saved or shown.
  • FixAdd Mention now saves the sentiment you choose for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram links. It was being left empty, so those mentions were missing from the sentiment breakdown.
  • FixDashboard periods, change figures and charts follow the site timezone, and Total Mentions compares every mention with the previous period rather than only those with a sentiment.
  • FixAdmin buttons and controls use a darker blue that keeps white text readable, get darker on hover rather than lighter, and show a visible keyboard focus ring.
  • FixThe bundled Action Scheduler library is complete again, so its WP-CLI commands no longer stop with a fatal error.
  • ChangeNew extension points for add-ons: layout registry and render filters, template search paths, Settings tabs, row actions, meta box fields, Add Mention types, Tools, Permissions and Help sections.

3.1.2Earlier

  • SecuritySentiment values, embed URLs and several admin AJAX actions are now strictly validated, with permission and post-type checks.
  • FixChanging the check frequency now takes effect immediately.
  • FixAdding a source no longer floods your inbox with alerts for old articles.
  • FixDeleting a source with “also delete associated mentions” now actually removes them.
  • ChangeDashboard and map tiles now come from OpenStreetMap instead of CARTO.
  • ChangeThe Reputation Score compares positive against negative mentions only. Neutral mentions no longer count against it.
  • PrivacyTikTok and Instagram scripts load only on pages that actually show such an embed.

3.1.1Earlier

  • ChangeAutomatic check frequency became configurable from five minutes to twenty four hours through the Pro add-on. This version checks every six hours.
